Camp Shonga is a small intimate bush retreat built in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains, offering views over the African bushveld. Shonga allows you to experience the real Africa - majestic, unfiltered and unadorned. The ethos behind Camp Shonga is for the highly trained and experienced guides to share their vast knowledge with our guests.The emphasis of the camp is on nature without losing the luxury and superior service our guests are accustomed to.

View the big game from open vehicles from the comfort of your room as you experience an Africa few have been privileged to see. Afterwards, dine on traditional cuisine around a roaring boma fire under the stars of the African sky.

ACCOMMODATION

The Camp can accommodate 10 guests in 5 individual tents, all luxuriously equipped with en-suite bathrooms and ball and claw baths, outside shower, ceiling fans, fireplace and private game-viewing deck with recliner chairs and umbrella.

Here, we believe that luxury and comfort in the bush is ultimately the best escape from the stresses of the world. Wander up to the main area and laze in the charming open lounge area, or dine and sip drinks on a spacious wooden deck as the game meander past. A splash pool makes for relief between safari activities.
